The fourth printed Bible, marking the end of the first series of printed Bibles, with a number of red and blue printed initials. A number of parallels have been adduced between the Corpus Hermeticum and the Bible, including the book of Genesis and the Gospel of John (symbolism of the light). Later Hermetic philosophers such as Ficino and Fludd have used such parallels and have interpreted pre-Christian thought as foreshadowing Christian thought. Paper copy, formerly owned by Martin Bodmer. |
